This tattoo is unusual because she has the branches in some of the same shades as the cherry blossom flowers. This technique softens the tattoo and creates a painted look. The design still has a few solid black branches but everything else is left unlined. The flowers are filled in completely with red or light pink and have a bit of black detail in the centers.
The tattoo is done on a girl’s back running along both shoulder blades and it reaches up toward the neck and shoulder. The placement is almost horizontal which is also unusual because lots of these tats are done vertically going up the body.
