Here is an interesting take on a cross tattoo. The cross is small, plain, black, and non-denominational which is a popular design but her placement of the tat might send a stronger message than the cross itself. She has the tat inked on her middle finger and is flicking off the camera.
The placement gives it a gothic look. An idea to add to this tattoo would be to draw a ring around the finger with details of stones. Adding little marks to the cross in white ink would also make this cross design stand out.
